Step Seven – Your Business Name

Whether you are legally structured as a sole proprietor, corporation, limited liability corporation or partnership, if you plan to operate under assumed or fictitious name, you need to register your fictitious name with the Office of the Clerk of the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC).

I will operate under a trade name and need to register the business name.
